Physical Therapy

We are proud of our physical therapists, all of whom have extensive experience in orthopedic rehabilitation. With an average of 14 years experience treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries, they are dedicated to guiding patients through the recovery process and quickly returning them to an active lifestyle.

WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?


Physical therapy is rehabilitative care that uses an array of techniques to assist the healing process to restore physical abilities. Some of those techniques use specialized equipment and technologies. Stretching, strengthening, and even treatment to lesson pain and discomfort are all apart of this field.

Our Physical Therapy Staff

Matt Thornton, MSPT | Physical Therapist

Matt is a Little Rock native and graduate of Little Rock Catholic High. He attended Centenary College of Louisiana where he played soccer and earned several conference and school honors. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences from Centenary, and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

Matt coached soccer at the Little Rock Futbol Club for several years, as well as at Little Rock Catholic High for three years, winning state titles for both organizations. Matt joined OrthoSurgeons in 1999 and is our Assistant Director of Rehab Services. He also works in home health PT. Matt lives in Little Rock with his wife and two sons.

Debbie Williamson, MSPT  | Physical Therapist

Debbie grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Central High School. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville), and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

Debbie has worked with patients in a variety of settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, nursing homes and outpatient orthopedics. She joined our team here at OrthoSurgeons in 2010 to focus solely on outpatient orthopedics. Debbie resides in Little Rock with her husband and children.

LITTLE ROCK

Nona Woods, PTA | Physical Therapy Assistant

 

Nona is a native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and has been with OrthoSurgeons since 2007. Nona earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a minor in Biology from Henderson State University, where she was also a member of the basketball team. She taught high school biology and coached basketball and track in Tyler, Texas before enrolling in the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas.

 

Nona completed her Physical Therapy Assistant degree in 1996, and worked for Physical Therapy Services and Azalea Orthopedics for 10 years in Tyler, Texas before moving to Little Rock and joining our team at OrthoSurgeons.

Steve Longinotti, MSPT | Physical Therapist

Steve is a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas and has been Director of Rehab Services for OrthoSurgeons Physical Therapy since its inception in 1997. Steve holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) and a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

 

Steve served on the board of the Little Rock Futbol Club for over five years. He was the Medical Director for the US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships in 2002 and 2006, and the US Youth Soccer National Championships in 2008.

 

Steve and his wife, Lisa, reside in Little Rock and have two adult sons, Stephen and Andrew. They are active members of FaithSpring Church.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK

Dede Cravens | Physical Therapist

Dede Cravens graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1982. In the mid 90s, she left Special Education to pursue a career in physical therapy. She received her Master’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas. In 2004, she returned to school, this time at the University of Queensland, Australia where she was able to combine two of her loves—animals and physical therapy into another advanced degree, a Master’s in Animal Studies (Animal Physical Therapy). Dede has experience across the physical therapy field, but has spent the majority of her time in out-patient orthopedics.
